Anthony Nolan Raft Race has moved to 10/09/2011
On the 10th September this year, we will be once again welcoming the Anthony Nolan trust to the National White Water Centre for their annual White Water Rafting fundraising event. Teams of 6 or 7 will ride the rapids and brave the whirlpools on an action-packed adventure that, through the sponsorship they raise, will give people with blood cancer a chance of survival. Each team will have 3 runs, 2 timed and 1 just for fun! The fastest team will win the coveted Anthony Nolan White Water Trophy.
If you are interested in taking part in this event, please see the Anthony Nolan website for more details.

Tryweryn Festival 2010
In September 2010 the National White Water Centre hosted it's first Tryweryn Paddling Festival for several years. Paddlers took part in all manner of events including a huge variety of competitions and great coaching sessions with our fantastic coaches, others just enjoyed a sociable weekend on the river. Our thanks go to Square Rock, Palm Equipment, Peak UK, Wavesport, Bigdog Kayaks, Paddlework, Lendal, Alpkit, Pyranha and Dagger for supporting the event and bringing their demo boats, latest kit and team paddlers and helping to devise all manner of competitions, Cerist Triathlon Club for their help with the multisport event, Bala Canoe Club for their camping facilities, Y Cyfnod for hosting us on Saturday Evening and the Environment Agency for keeping the water on, on a very wet weekend .
Here are a selection of images from the event.
